Free GT4 ST205 low miles
« on: January 03, 2008, 03:45:24 pm »
Well the fekkin germans pulled out of the purchase of the house, so we're still stuck here.  That's 4 sales fallen through at the 11th hour.  FOUR!  how the ferk does that happen?!  One is bad luck, two is careless but FOUR?!  Jeesuz we are so *BLEEP*ed off now.  never felt so low!

So anyway, back on topic, does anyone want my Four for free?  All you have to do is buy the house.  Originally advertised at £219,500, we'll let it go for £190k, or £175k with the EC discount.  Car chucked in.

It has a BIG garage...

cheers guys, i feel better sharing my pain!  now if i can just find someone to share the mortgage with...!

the problem we have is that everyone who comes round is some sort of *BLEEP*, *BLEEP*er or other weirdo.

we had the chinese lesbians who just liek to look in other peoples houses and have no intention to buy.

the woman who we'd beaten to the purchase 5 years previously who wanted to come round and have a look at what we'd done to the place - no intention to buy.

The guy who's dad is a builder and he came round to have a look at the place for his son.  concluded that the walls were bowing severley.  upon inspection we found that the drainpipe is crooked, and he thought that it was the wall.  Too embarrassed to admit it and he withdrew the offer.  By the way if you're considering an extension or other work in the Teesside area PM me and I'll give you his name so you avoid the cowboy!

the couple who wanted a 5 bed detached house around the £350k mark.  (we have a 3 bed semi at the £200k mark).

we had the woman who has a budget of £95k and wondered if we'd take a low offer

the woman who showed up, but had apparently arranged the viewing at the wrong hosue as she wanted one in a completely different town and got confused.

we had the people who wanted to do a house swap for a smaller one (which we agreed to) but then they got worried in case the house would flood as there's a beck out the back.  we're 9 metres up!  if we flood half the world is in trouble!  morons.

the people who couldnt get a mortgage cos they had an income of 50p, even though we'd got the solicitors and everything ready to go and all signed.  sale fell apart.

then there was the couple whose own sale fell through so they couldnt obviously buy ours - sale fell apart, but at least they were normal.

we tried to sell to one of them dodgy companies who buy at half the value, but they went bust half way through the process.  WTF?!

not to mention the hundreds of tourists and dreamers who just like to waste your time, that's if they even show up.

then this.

now understand why I am *BLEEP*ed off?  But at least we have another viewing tomorrow... fingers and all else crossed.

I feel better now though... a problem shared is... still a problem actually.  I'll be quiet now.

Selling houses. A fly on a bowed wall series??? :o ;D

When we 'eventually' sold our house it was the best thing EVER to happen so hang in there.
It had been on the market for 18 months before we even had any interest.
The day before we were due to exchange contacts with our original buyer (bearing in mind it had taken over 6 months for the guy to have all the searches completed etc) he dropped out due to 'personal reasons' Ahem???
2 hours later we had an offer from a property developer which was 10k less than we had originally accepted >:(
Fortunately the seller of the house we were buying agreed to lower his price to help compensate 8)

So we got the house we wanted, for less than what we offered and supposedley quite a bit less than the market value (but I still beg to differ).
We moved in and found *BLEEP* loads wrong with the bloody thing >:(
However...5 months of living there and constant DIY/Faffing around the house has brought it to what we wanted for not as much expence 8) All we have left to do now is the expensive stuff ;D

So the moral of the story is...you'll get there eventually and it will ALL be worth the wait 8)

Seriously wanting another GT4 NOW god dam it!!!

I feel for you Andy. The amount of crap you have to put up with as a seller is unreal. I think if the government is that keen on the whole homebuying pack thing, then there should be a scheme whereby you can't view a house unless you ARE in a position to buy, i.e. mortgage ready to discourage the usual waste-of-space merchants.

It will sell to the right person in time, trust me :)

Cheers
