Membership of other celica forums.

Since membership fees are now being introduced for this club, I'm wondering if it's worth me paying and staying here as well as my other main club as most members on here seem to be common to the other club I'm a member of. I'm assuming the forum will be blocked to non-members at some stage.

This isn't me being a freeloader or being mean. I always try to give back to a community as well as take by actively posting what I think is useful information.

Well I am also a member of a certain other Gt Owners Club, and in all truthfulness I will not be renewing my membership there. I have been involved in more than a few clubs in my 36years and that 'other club' is easily the most useless thing since the Pope's ding-a-ling. (God bless him). So the GT4ec will get my membership from here on out if only for the helpfulness of their admin team.

I have to admit, not being a gt4 owner i only visit the site occasionally to catch up with my brother and see if anything interesting is happening.

Compared to our RSOC or rs-maina sites this site is very very quiet but in comparison to another gt4 oc website i have seen the people on here are more helpful and I think that you should push forward and start going to more shows and be a bigger uk based club.

i look and often post wider a field. besides reguarly posting on the 3 UK GT-Four clubs. i am frequently on the austrailain, USA  clubs and also the main UK and international MR2 clubs. there is lots of 3sgte tunning knowledge out there !

I'm paid up here already and intend to 'mutter' on for the foreseeable future. (sorry!)
I like the attitude and the 'closeness' of this site.
I do not have a lot to give but will help any newbie up to my low level of understanding because I've been there before and know how they feel!
I also am staying on the OC as I never was involved in the ? wrongdoings? that were alleged. I like their new 'openness' now and their large following of newcomers which is good for a laugh and many repeat posts!!! One day this site may exceed their post counts but I hope they are not meaningless and are specific for the enthusiast and not just the owners!

I was a member of the OC but left at the same time as a number of people on here.I know a large number of members on here and all are friendly and helpful, so this remains my home. Big UP

I landed in the OC just after the last 'unpleasantness' and so missed out on one half of the story. I then managed to alienate myself by becoming friendly with exactly the wrong people. (I have a few nicely worded pm's from some of the mods saved to file.) I would be eternally grateful if someone here would fill me in on what exactly did happen, maybe by PM to prevent any more ill-feelings?

As someone who posts here, there and indeed everywhere (being another marque ) Please, please let's not see this post degenerate into an inter club slanging match. Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking sides and indeed in most cases don't know the specifics. However, there is a fair amount of crossover between members and if one club doesn't suit you, for whatever reason, then another will.

im not a fully paid member here and i visit infrequently to see whats happening but im a member of a couple of other clubs too.

and tbh this kinda talk could kinda put a new member/potential member/exsisting member off a forum like this thats only just started up.

each club has its good points and i would imagine when the time comes to pay for full membership i shall pay up.as its a good place to come and read up even if its on an infrequent basis.

personally im surprised the mods on here have allowed this to continue without removal or a word in the right direction but hey its only an opinion i suppose.

all i can say is ive not seen anything against this or any other club come to think of it posted on any other club site so why here???

There's no anymosity (sp?) between clubs at all.

As we all know there are 3 main clubs that cater for the GT4.
They all however cater in different ways

The choice of which club the individual 'joins' is entirely (sp?) (<<<Brains not in gear yet ) up to their own personal preference.
We're not here to tell you how great we are and how bad the 'others' are because we all have a common interest...the great GT4.

So in that sense...we are all as equal as the other in terms of 'club' manship

as a non-gt4 owner i come on here to see if there is any useful info and to catch up with freinds.
i like the atmosphere on here as 'some' forums can be a little up their own ass.

I find I only have time to read the posts from one club and this is the one for me Saying that all 3 clubs are keeping fours alive and are full of some top class people.
 On a minus point I do find some of the jokes on the site to be some of the worse ever,keep them coming
