Internet by Virgin
« on: January 27, 2010, 08:06:58 pm »
Its just taken 7 days for Virgin to get my internet working after a house move, what a load of freaking rubbish that company is >:( I cannot explain the depths of crap service they provide but trust me when I say that they are in a field of their own when its comes to customer care ;D

They even manged to give me a new telephone number that somebody else already had :o

Anyway its good to be back online and life seems so much easier.Funny how we rely on internet access as a norm and how many things we do online.

In my experience most ultra-large corporations are useless when it comes to personal service. I've had major issues with BT, Sky, 02, Vodafone, utility companies... It's the calibre of people they employ that's the problem in my opinion. They just want you off the phone asap.

I found the actual product from Virgin (then telewest) to be great though.

I have to agree on the 'calibre' part. I, also, have been known to go off on one with the then Telewest. The sad part is that, like most large companies, whilst the product may be pretty good, it's hopeless without sincere, professional support.....
