Plenty didn't, which seems a little "wrong"

For my sins I work as a manager for a large retailer, we observed the 2 minute silence and the whole place came to a complete stop, including approx 700 customers who were shopping at the time. I was fairly surprised if im honest, not a word to be heard or any movement across the whole shop, was great to see so many showing their appreciation for those that have fallen for us.
12.808 1/4 mile on stock internals, turbo and ecu.

Now gone to the dark side!

This year our building management did not use the fire alarm to indicate the start and finish of the silence, which I found a bit of a disgrace as it's better that everyone can participate at the same time. As a result some of us did and some quite clearly didn't know or care.

I think that it's certainly a matter of personal choice, but I will always do it.

I'm glad to see most did. I'm a bit confused with the personal choice thought though - I mean it doesnt matter whether you agree with war or not, paying respects to those who died for others is surely a universal appreciation?

The fire alarm idea is a nice one, and would be good if done in more places.

Well done SS!

Couldn't agree more.
My work announced it over the buildings intercom to mark the start and finish of it.

OK, I'll explain...

it's a fact that it's personal choice... but if you don't honour those who sacrificed everything for our freedom... then you're a dick.

Is that better?  ;)

I made sure I had my two minutes of silence, to pay my respects. I had 3 war veterans in my family (now only one) and I see no reason why people should choose not to pay respect to those who fought and fell
