But there are roads where the indicated speed limit is way below what I consider to be the driving conditions. There are also many instances where speed cameras are located on perfectly safe overtaking zones, where momentarily exceeding the limit is, in my opinion, the safest way to pass. I suspect many people on here occasionally push the margins, and some form of defence against the "dumb copper" gatsos can only be a good thing. My 2p.
Very true, I personally believe that limits should be raised in certain areas. I also agree on the overtaking principle, tho the majority of people don't necessarily recognise the safe time for overtaking as they drive too close to the vehicle in front(within the limit), lol.
Sadly, a GATSO won't stop someone driving at the limit when it's lashing down or snowing even.
Maybe a radical rethink of a 'no limit' system? hehehe, if you are involved in an incident you automatically lose your licence unless you can prove your actions did not contribute?
