Seriously slippy out there!
« on: January 20, 2009, 12:53:18 am »
Just pulled into a car park, in my FWD estate car, at idle in first - without varying the steering or throttle it did a full 270 degrees before coming to a halt. At about 3mph. Took me another 5 minutes to get back off the car park!

love 4wd, my street is pretty steep and there was about 7 cars parked at the bottom of it and you could see where they got to in the snow, they were all kinda raging when i ploughed on up the hill and into the drive way...... hehe

Sod off ya bugger, just because you know I dont have access to the 4WD you have to brag!  ;D

I remember the days, drifting past BMWs happily.

Speaking of which I did a proper 30 degree power-slide-esque movement on the way home last night, right in front of the police coming the other way. Out of the junction, turn right, back end slips so im filling the lane diagonally, opposite lock on for about 30 yards, straightened it up and the cops were grinning wildly at me lol.

I hate this weather sometimes. R lass *BLEEP*es off to work in the Impreza without a care in the world and there I am a couple of hours later in the BM with broken traction control...which means it is permanantly OFF.
I wouldn't mind but my road isn't 'that' steep but we just get battered by the weather and the grit bin that used to be at the top of the street when we moved in seems to have bloody disappeared...and been a cul-de-sac we never get the gritters down >:( >:( >:(

Seriously wanting another GT4 NOW god dam it!!!

Before I bought my 4, some mornings I couldnt get out of my driveway without serious shovelling and spreading of grit :D, the only chance I would have was to reverse out of my garage, up the drive and around in 1 smooth manouvere as any dabbing of the gas or brake would result in being stuck.  Hard work when your still asleep!

Jeff, hopefully miles from your house, no-one likes a grippy road when they have a four to play with! And think of the salty sills!
