Me and R Lass decided to go for a bit of a drive out this morning. Not too far as she had to go into work this afternoon but still managed to get onto a few nice country lanes.
Now I wasn't out for a blast, just a run out to get away from the house and have a peaceful morning pottering about.
As I got onto the first country lane I was behind a Land Rover doing a steady 37/38 MPH in a 40 limit, fine by me.
It seems however that the *BLEEP*er who came flying up behind me in a Corolla D4D wanted to go faster. I had left about 4 car lengths between me and the Landy (the roads were damp by the way) and the roads were only wide enough to have about 18-20 inches between cars when they were passing, and of course nice and twisty.
Now the 4 lads in the car were acting suspicious anyway but what they did next ASTOUNDED me.
At first I thought they were trying to roll their (the) car as they pulled out so eractically they must have bottomed out their suspension on the passenger side

then they proceded to overtake me in a gap that even I wouldn't have tried it in. Subsequently they squeazed inbetween me and the Landy so I duely back off a little to watch what they were going to do next...after a little shuffling about by the 2 lads in the back and giving me a good eyeing up...
...of course they did the most sensible thing and overtook the Landy on a blind bend, how stupid of me not to realise :

Ah well, let them on their merry way.
We got onto a nice straight bit of road, wide enough to overtake without caring, long enough to see I had about 2 weeks to overtake the Landy and it was hitting a 60 limit. So, I pull out to check and decided to back off...for some reason the Corolla was coming in the opposite direction and then pulled into a lay by :

We carried on our merry way, up to the Roundabout and turned Right, stopped off for a Bacon Butty and a Coffee and then at a Forecourt to look at some cars. While browsing the cars on offer there must have been 7-8 Police Cars flying back the way we had come

I knew where/why they were going up that way. We chose to follow their direction after 5 minutes browsing and again were pootling along, slowing down from 60 as there was a 30 limit coming up and next thing.........what's that?
Ah well, they had it coming. Said Corolla was upside down on the grass verge

OK, so the owner who had had their car nicked did not deserve some little scrote putting it flip side in a ditch but the pricks in it deserved to crash

Now without thinking I got on the blower to the Plod (If only I had taken pics first

) and at the same time got out of my car to check they weren't actually in the wrecker.
'How stupid' came the thought when I was at the other side of the road.
'They may just be hiding in a ditch somewhere close'

I got back in my car and locked the doors LOL while trying to tell the lady on the phone where I was (quietish country lane) While I was explaining a plod car turned up...fook me, that was quick response for a change

Anyway, the Sergeant took me to his car

and took a statement off me.Only took about 3-4 minutes but by the time I had finished the traffic around was at a near stand still all because there were at least 12 traffic cars and a Chopper hovering above

So not really eventfull but never the less it brightened up my day a little to see that the little gits had been hurt

I just hope they eventually were caught
