They got creamed Haha!!!
« on: July 06, 2008, 04:17:22 pm »
Me and R Lass decided to go for a bit of a drive out this morning. Not too far as she had to go into work this afternoon but still managed to get onto a few nice country lanes.
Now I wasn't out for a blast, just a run out to get away from the house and have a peaceful morning pottering about.
As I got onto the first country lane I was behind a Land Rover doing a steady 37/38 MPH in a 40 limit, fine by me.
It seems however that the *BLEEP*er who came flying up behind me in a Corolla D4D wanted to go faster. I had left about 4 car lengths between me and the Landy (the roads were damp by the way) and the roads were only wide enough to have about 18-20 inches between cars when they were passing, and of course nice and twisty.
Now the 4 lads in the car were acting suspicious anyway but what they did next ASTOUNDED me.
At first I thought they were trying to roll their (the) car as they pulled out so eractically they must have bottomed out their suspension on the passenger side :o then they proceded to overtake me in a gap that even I wouldn't have tried it in. Subsequently they squeazed inbetween me and the Landy so I duely back off a little to watch what they were going to do next...after a little shuffling about by the 2 lads in the back and giving me a good eyeing up...
...of course they did the most sensible thing and overtook the Landy on a blind bend, how stupid of me not to realise ::)
Ah well, let them on their merry way.
We got onto a nice straight bit of road, wide enough to overtake without caring, long enough to see I had about 2 weeks to overtake the Landy and it was hitting a 60 limit. So, I pull out to check and decided to back off...for some reason the Corolla was coming in the opposite direction and then pulled into a lay by ::)

We carried on our merry way, up to the Roundabout and turned Right, stopped off for a Bacon Butty and a Coffee and then at a Forecourt to look at some cars. While browsing the cars on offer there must have been 7-8 Police Cars flying back the way we had come :o
I knew where/why they were going up that way. We chose to follow their direction after 5 minutes browsing and again were pootling along, slowing down from 60 as there was a 30 limit coming up and next thing.........what's that?
Ah well, they had it coming. Said Corolla was upside down on the grass verge :o :o :o
OK, so the owner who had had their car nicked did not deserve some little scrote putting it flip side in a ditch but the pricks in it deserved to crash >:(
Now without thinking I got on the blower to the Plod (If only I had taken pics first :D) and at the same time got out of my car to check they weren't actually in the wrecker.
'How stupid' came the thought when I was at the other side of the road.
'They may just be hiding in a ditch somewhere close' :o :o :o
I got back in my car and locked the doors LOL while trying to tell the lady on the phone where I was (quietish country lane) While I was explaining a plod car turned up...fook me, that was quick response for a change ;D

Anyway, the Sergeant took me to his car :o and took a statement off me.Only took about 3-4 minutes but by the time I had finished the traffic around was at a near stand still all because there were at least 12 traffic cars and a Chopper hovering above ;)

So not really eventfull but never the less it brightened up my day a little to see that the little gits had been hurt :D I just hope they eventually were caught 8)

Seriously wanting another GT4 NOW god dam it!!!

Wow sounds like your drive out was more exciting than ours.  We took a trip up to Teeside for lunch, and god on the way we must of either got stuck behind or passed at least 30 caravans  >:( >:( >:(  I got so fed up in the end that people werent overtaking them I spotted an opportunity at the top of a hill and took a couple of cars and a caravan just to get up past 35mph!

I did have a little fun on the way back as I also had a little scrote up my backside on twisty roads, who overtook us thinking he'd just blown a GT4 off the road  I dont mind having a little fun, but overtaking on a blind bend isnt my thing so I waited till the time was just right, then before he could even realise it, I was passing him and the car in front of him  ;D ;D ;D He tried to get back up my aris as we came off a roundabout, but i just left him in a spray of water so he decided after that to leave well alone.  He really wasnt happy though when he saw it was a women driving  ;D ;D ;D

Hope they catch that little *BLEEP*es that nicked the car, the poor owners must be gutted, I feel very sorry for them  :(

I was very tempted, tho thought it better to wait on Cee during the day, cups of tea and such like. Anyway, had I driven one down then, surely, I would still have been on my backside :P

It's all wicked lies - I hate being driven around, scoffing food and drinking beer!!! it's horrid!  8) 8) 8)

In all truth, much as I appreciate Dee's taxi service, I am a crap passenger - I hate not being behind the wheel, and I miss my faff and my bike. Just hope it won't be a lot longer before I get some movement back!  :( >:(

I have to say as much as I LOVE driving my 185 all over, I am missing being driven around in the faff especially when Jools decides its time to play, we're all routing for you babes, and I know you have the will to make that arm work best it can  ;)
