Faff?

Just wondering and i might sound thick but i have no idea what Faff means and would like too!! I do own an ST205 but everything i ever read it says Faff! can anyone put some light on this for me??

There are 2 main tales as to the origin of the Faff nickname.

1. So named as they are always being faffed about with by the owners wether by necessity or not.

2. Posh way of saying 5, coz it's a posh GT4 - thus the generation names as follows

165 - one-sick-five
185 - one-crate-five
205 - two-oh-faff (in a silly etonian accent for effect)

Personally, it's what we all call it and it's stuck for good. Hope this helps fella, although I'd not be at all surprised if someone has yet another answer for you. :

All Sick owners say the same about the Faff so don't worry

What Gaz says is quite correct it all stems from the poor "sick" five owners jealousy that they own neither the fast one (faff of course) or the pretty one (the lovely crate), just the rusty one or the broken one. Gaz in particular is an expert on both of the last types!!

I like the faffing one as i am in that bracket myself and never stop faffing! it does help alot thanks guys

faff's faffing - as long as it aint being fluffed like the 185 mob do - then its all good..

I was talking to Adrian and he reckons that Corollas running about 400bhp at the mo, the Gen 7 is out of action again, so he's racing in that instead. I'm not sure, but I think this is a different Corolla to the one you are thinking of. Quick tho

i'm caught between a rock and a hard place with the faff and the old sainz which is my favorite car......... both impressed me in different ways
