Well, group of guys arrived up tonight and offered me what i was willing to take for the Sainz, i'm a bit gutted to say the least as i loved the car and never really got the chance to enjoy it due to my accident in 2005. Made a hefty £3k loss on the car which is a bit hard to swallow as well

I have to give a big thanks for everyone on the forum who have helped me out with various technical queries on the car, it may be the end of GT4 ownership for me but i was looking at automatic ST202s a while back so who knows, i'll probably be sticking around here anyway.

yeah it was a sad day, especially since the money will be going on a new sofa and TV and not into a new motor.

I know i sold both of them very cheap, but after the fuel leak that happened yeaterday of all days, i was prepared to let it go for a song, as i didn't fancy having to replace the fuel pipes when they went yesterday. i put a can of petrol and most of it emptied onto the driveway so maybe best to get rid. the buyer didn't have much of a look around it either or a test drive. he was from over the border in Ireland and aslo has to pay £900+ on the VRT to get it registered there!

wondered why i never got the call from you earlier in the week to come up and see it, well good luck with the hunt for a nice 202, there is a lovely one for sale down here, but its no good for as its a manual and keep in touch

I did try call you a couple of times on friday mate, but kept getting a message saying that it wasn't possible to connect the call

a couple of boys from down south bought it, i knocked £60 off since the petrol was *BLEEP*ing out of it. Would you believe that they are paying £900+ on the VRT to bring it down there! They didn't really have a good look around the car, just started it up and moved it up and down the drive a couple of times to check the clutch was working ok. Probably the easiest sale i've ever had 

One thing that doesn't make me feel so bad is that there was a red Sainz sold on eBay last week for £1950 so the market for them must be falling out of them right now?

dunno why that was or i was probably flat out chatting to the missus or something, well my sainz is away now to its new home as well but these things have to be done

i still regret selling mine, bad mistake.

i spent loads on new clutch, new water pump, body work paint, timing belt am sure they will be other stuff too and i sold it for 2grand, i had spent over a grand putting it right.

looked lovely nice shiny black with white wheels.

gutted to this day. my other car is *BLEEP*, nowt but bother.

il end up doing the same with this one, spend a fortune putting it right then someone will come along and get a bargain of a car.

always the way huh? what swung me in the end is the red one that went on eBay for £1950, which gave me a little comfort knowing that i got a 'fair' price for it considering the work that needed doing
