Never had a problem with surrender monkey machines, other than keyless timing sprockets :S

Silverspeed - stick a decimal point in there and I'll buy it ;)

Now carefully nudge it left one digit. It'll thank you, and you'll shift your car faster ;)

This is so f**king depressing. The celica will sit and rot on the drive for 4 years or I use it as a daily still, but thats gonna cost me approx £10K more after 4 years, not including servicing, than buying and running a nice modernish diesel. I can barely justify keeping her but I know I'd get jack all for her if I sold her :(

£11K = 54K miles extra in fuel. But then that assumes I never drive or insure the celica and that the loan required to buy it was at 0% :) From a few fast calcs, it would only cost me 4K more over 4 years to keep the celica as a daily driver at 15K miles a year than it would to bin it and buy a 2.5K TD estate to do the same. Hardly seems worth it lol.

Been to see a couple of the 306 estates - as agricultural inside as my 205 even 10 years later! but nice enough and currently top of my list.

Buy it then screw out the pump for big power (and 007 style smoke clouds to confuse the speed cameras)   ;)

lol I'd need serious clouds to hide from the bloody cameras on the way up the M74!

Can't you just change lanes? Or is that only the new cameras?

Two types of camera in thought here - SPECs (two a fixed distance apart) are rather more complex than being beaten by changing lanes. The other kind, Laser/cameras on the bridges/in vans are one-shot only and catch you there and then. The M74 has the laser cameras on all 3 lanes in about 3 spots on my route lol.
