Now i remember
« on: November 12, 2007, 01:16:40 pm »
Moved the car last night in order to drop the water out of it and put coolant in (after the manifold job i just topped her up with water and left her as she was sorn'd and unused, hoping for little corrosion, seems to have worked out ok in that respect). She fired up second time (no cold start injector fitted) and idled like a dream after 3 months downtime. Switched ends in the drive and remembered why i loved the car - i had been drifting into thoughts of leaving her offroad for a while and getting another car instead but by 'eck does she feel smooth, firm and sexy even just turning around in the drive. So THAT is why I thought it was worth keeping instead of flogging when I had no cash!

good on ya fella! I remembered stepping back into mine after 2years of it being off the road.
It still feels 'special' even after being sat for sooo long!
I did think about selling when it first went off the road, but with very little interest and a very poor market, i ended up keeping her, and now shes back!
Every journey is pleausre again, never a chore with the Four!

I've not driven mine for about 6 weeks :o seen as the wife has been using it ::)
However, what should have been a 5 minute journey last night turned into a 30 minute journey and NOT because she broke down but because she is a dream to drive.
Time to get r lass that little 4x4 and get my 1sex5 back 8) 8) 8)

Seriously wanting another GT4 NOW god dam it!!!

be my guest lol. Im embarrassed to say i think im in love lol.
No other car ive driven has the individuality of the Four. Yes new cars might be smoother, and there are always more powerful cars out there, but theres just that something i cant put my finger on. The fact that your low to the ground, but in a spacious environment, peering over that bulge in the bonnet. I dont even care if i turn heads cos its the driving experience from inside that i love so much.
Cant compare the 205s/165s but for me, the 1GREAT5 has everything i need.

A few smaller bills would be nice though lol.

yeah know what you mean looking at the vents out through the bonnet ata was class but the Sainz has a great view, also just the way the Celica as well as the Supra is built around the driver and everything is directed at them...... just a pleasure to drive i'm missing mines already and i've only stopped driving it a few days ago
