price chart
« on: July 27, 2010, 07:06:13 pm »
ok so with me not being the most computer savvy not sure how this could be done.
all i was thinking was that you could have a chart with genral service parts like
jap car parts      euro cp    tcb
oil filter       2.72 inc vat        4.74+vat  3.25+vat
fuel filter     13.82 inc vat      8.71+vat  10.75+vat

you get what i mean this way people could just look at the chart find the part and the cheapest place to get it and save a few quid along the way plus poeple
could add to it when they find a bargain you could have one for the 165 ,185,205
only crossed my mind as i have done a little chart on paper and the saving between the few companys for the thing's i want
and ive managed to save £115 just buy looking around different companys
so if any one can help ive done some leg work already just dont have the know how to get a chart done

That's a great idea!!! Perhaps a thread where the initial post has a list that can be added to in further posts and edited to reflect those posts. One in 165, 185 and 205? There will be some duplication between cars though it will be easier to check through your own model?

Cheers

Then again.... there is some cheap crap stuff and some expensive rubbish!
VFM is what we need????
Previously a UK WRC ST205 & a CS (UK !*%)
Now.... a 1970 Triumph 13/60 convertible, a Hyindai Amica and a Honda CR-Z Hybrid :)

unfortunatley jeff a lot of the stuff we buy is a bit of an unknown. all this is is to help people try and find service items as cheap as possible and keep our fours on the road and more petrol in our tanks.
things as simple as an oil filter can range from £2.75-£9.00 and radiators are£95.00-£175.00 so there are savings to be had
the cheapest rad is from tcb which a well known company.
