OK Deal hunters
« on: September 28, 2009, 05:12:42 pm »
I'm in need of a water pump, willing to get a copy rather than yota prices if cheaper but not poor quality. Just need the outer section of the pump - cheapest place in the UK/online UK?

I'm going to weld up the sills (they're not too bad for now) and I'm working on an atom-esque spaceframe chassis for the running gear for when the rust becomes too much to keep up with, fortunately I have access to someone with race-car chassis and suspension design experience so thats a long-term goal for when the brown cancer gets too much. In the mean time it's just MOT passing and survival.

As far as I know they're the same as genuine toyota.

Yup, some ebay auctions go a smidge cheaper but not much. Where did the out of stock one come from? I can't seem to find an online blueprint dealer

Amazes me that the water pump is the same as the 3S GE. But it does open up more options.

As far as I'm aware the 3SGE is the same bottom end as the GTE. Especially on the early engines.

AFAIK the 3sge has the same block, but higher compression pistons, and slightly less beefy rods, but I'm willing to be wrong

Well I've got a blueprint 3S-GE pump from autopart for 33 quid. Looks identical to the £67 GTE part at first visual inspection.
