The Motor Insurance Database (MID)
« on: October 26, 2007, 08:39:48 pm »
I came across this handy wee site on another forum today, and thought it may come in useful.

You could use it to see if the pikey up the road is insured, before shopping him/her to "Billy The Hastler".

I've checked my cars on it, and all's working 100%.

Previously a UK WRC ST205 & a CS (UK !*%)
Now.... a 1970 Triumph 13/60 convertible, a Hyindai Amica and a Honda CR-Z Hybrid :)

yeah thats true, but still it can be checked as many times as you want and i'm sure its constantly automatically updated, checked my mates integra which was insured yesterday and its out of date today cause he's away for 2 weeks and the car is garaged up, and its showing not insured today but it was yesterday, so still pretty accurate

Funny how the police are "up to two weeks" delayed in their updates!

Interesting to note the disclaimer re DPA and unlawfully obtaining the information, tho tis a good find to check on the dodgy motor up the road, so to speak ;)
