Hi everyone, you may have noticed that I haven't been around much lately, both on here and at meets. I have had a lot on at work, but over the last few weeks Dee has been very ill and been in and out of hospital. Last night we received the news we have been dreading - Dee has been diagnosed with cancer, we will not know the full story until the end of the month when we should have more test results and some feedback from the Doctors. Obviously this means we won't be around a great deal for the foreseeable future either, but we'll check in on the site when we can and hopefully will be able to get back to some meets etc later in the year.
I thought it best to put up a general post, that way we don't forget anyone and you'll all know why we are absent from the scene.

Total and utter commiserations my friend and please give major hugs to Dee.
No one can know what to expect in cases like this and I REALLY hope you get the best results. Medicine is a majic thing these days and wonderfull things can happen.
Keep your chin up and keep in touch, I am sure you have all of our thoughts and prayers.
ATB Jeff.

Thanks to everyone for your kind messages, Dee finds them very comforting and is very grateful as most of you she has only met a couple of times if at all.
She is still very tired and poorly at the moment and is still recovering from 2 operations that she had last week. I pass on your messages and they cheer her up no end. I'm sure when we fight this thing and beat it together she'll be happy to thank you all in person as I will. One of her first requests to me was when she was feeling better can I take her to the bubble so she can see everyone as she finds it such a nice relaxing day out, I'm more than happy to do that for her and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.
I'll keep coming on to give updates and pass on any messages to Dee.
Thanks guys its great to know we have so many thinking of us at such a hard time, the more support we have the more we will try and fight this awful illness.
-
really, what more can I say that hasn't already been said :(
Really shocking news, but i'm sure with you supporting each other and freinds and family to rely on, you have the best chance of beating this.
My thoughts go to out to you, I do know what you are going through, and I wish you both the best ;) ;)
