Title: DP lagging
Post by: Rob_A on July 18, 2007, 12:44:40 pm
Lagged my DP with exhaust wrap last night...

None of you buggers warned me it would smoke the first time I went out for a drive!  :o

On the way to work on the A1 this morning, thought the heater smelt a bit warm but that dissapeared, then when I hit traffic and had to stop there was smoke pouring out of the bonnet vent! Got some funny looks I tell you. Pulled over at the metrocentre in case I was actually on fire and it looked alright, tiny bit more smoke on the way to work, but once in the car park had another look and all looked good.

Assuming this is normal as the wrap beds in?

Nearly shat my pants!  ;D

Yup, i wrapped my entire exhaust in one go, looked like the red arrows lost their wings. Despite the smoke pouring from my bonnet, under the car, out the back etc I still had people stop at the lights and say "do you know your car is smoking?"  - "thanks, i know" (Did they think I couldnt see it?!).

Ditto on the brown pants moment, lol. I was just letting it idle in the drive after putting it all back together :o
