Title: Car Cleaning. Research for work. Your help appreciated
Post by: madgaz on June 08, 2007, 08:04:18 pm: OK, as some of you may, or may not, know we have a new 'venture' at work.

We are soon going to be selling Microfibre cloths and sponges etc.
Fortunately work just may be paying for a stand at some of this years car shows :D 8)

So, the question is, if I was to offer you the following,

1 x Bucket
1 x Microfibre Sponge for washing
1 x Microfibre Drying cloth...to dry funnily enough ;)
1 x Microfibre Glass Cloth for windows/mirror washing
2 x Microfibre Cloths for interior/engine cleaning
1 x Microfibre Applicator for polish/wax applicating
1 x Microfibre double sided glove (similar to JML's ;)

The retail price of these items seperately (sp?) would be £25 ish.

If these were on special offer at a show would £15 be a good enough price to tempt (sp?) you there and then? ;)

Would each item be packaged and labled for each task or would it just look like a bunch of microfibre cloths? as packaging gets peoples interest, a bit like wimmin really :D
And do me a favour and never wash your car with a sponge, thanks you.

Unless it's a Microfibre Sponge LOL ;D

Yes 'most' of the items will have their own packaging ;) and 'Yes' it is £15 for the bundle 8)

personally though, I buy my stuff a bit at a time so I dont take the hit in one go so I wouldnt be likely to go for a bundle but would buy the individual items when I needed them

PS I use a PVA 'Easy glide' sponge on mine, is this a no-no?

Post by: Driveby on June 10, 2007, 09:27:57 am: Sponges just push dirt around causing damage to the paint finish, a lambswool wash mit will allow any hard particles to go up into the pile and away from the surface before being deposited into the bottom of the second bucket, as Rob says, a grit guard with further aid in this.
