Title: Opinions please on a soft top
Post by: Trouble on July 29, 2009, 08:31:47 am
ok finally talked roger round to selling the S2000 seariously cause madie is getting longer in the leg and cant get her and a baby seat behind the passanger seat of the truck. So the only sencible car we have is the 4 :o

requirement that i have been given are :

soft top
4 seats
faster then the 4 or keep upable
not a BMW (he doesn't like BM's)

Iv spent ages thrawling the tinternet and came up with Merc CLK DTM Amg (bit of an anal name )

Wouldn't touch a merc if my life depended on it. Ugly as sin and shocking quality.

Hmm if i were to get a convertible, I'd probably get a convertible Celica ;) Then start modding that too. If I bought a celica convertible, I could see myself converting it to the 4wd GT4 drivetrain. Now that would be something!

I think the celicas  are proper fugly in a soft top.  :-[

Do they do an RS4 convertable?
Or how about a legacy estate Trouble?

If you gave a clue with price range or is the sky the limit?

I don't think that they look too flash with the soft top on either, but I dont think any cars look that great with the soft top on lol. But I think that with the top down, and a gt4 bonnet (with 3sgte underneath of course) etc and a nice set of wheels and the st18X celica convertibles would look pretty mint.

Bimmer M3?

Think the M3 would be the only thing that came close performance wise, but the M3's rear legroom is as questionable as anything else. Soft-top (hairdressers) cars dont come with much rear legroom, unless they're overly heavy barges.

lol iv fell in love with the DTM but theres only 1000 ever made and only 40 RHD's :( so back to the drawing board.

Was that a little hearold?? S dont like it sorry, although i do like classics and never thought about it.  Jags huummm some are nice the rest are old manish

M3 yes that would fit the bill but rog hates them as most if not all BMW drivers are shocking.

nope not won the lottery just doing the woman thing looking about with my heart not the wallet :D "yep want that one its lush fast and chunky ..... £175k for a 4 year old one :( bollx "

911 no leg room front or back

see its not as easy as all that is it :D

I'd stick with what you have, its probably the best compromise already!

oh im not changing the four  ;D :o :o :o

are you mad???

Im hoping to change the S2000 as the 4 isn't the most reliable and is the only sensible 4 seats we have : :-\

so we need something for the weekend. think i need to see a RS4 in the skin
