Title: 2 day hangovers
Post by: Frikkin Evil on May 25, 2009, 10:58:22 am
I was out for a few* beers on Friday, starting at lunchtime and ending about 10pm (had to share an expensive taxi home). The thing is, I was like a zombie on Saturday and still felt like death on Sunday.

This seems to happen to me a lot lately... does anyone else experience this? Is it just a sign of getting old? Will I have to stop the flaming Sambuca chasers once and for all?

*lots of

I started slowing down at 25, hangovers that weren't there at 15 were kicking my rs, by 28 they were up to four days and I basically quit drinking (I'd been at is since I was 12), by 32 I was easing my way back into it and now at 37 I am back to what it was like at 15.
Take a wee break and all will be well.

;D 4 pint bladder.. That's still pretty good going Jeff.

Bazza's probably right, I need a break. Mind you, last year I quit booze for a couple of months and 9 months later I was a Dad!

I don't drink so no need to worry about sore heads and expensive taxi fairs. It's great, mind you i get a sore head listening to drunk dimwits going on and on about pure crap.

I've had some pretty nasty hangovers, normally from drinking cheaper poor quality beer. I generally only drink more expensive beers. Not only do they taste better, but when I have lots I feel considerably better at the end of it all!

I would not trust a man (or woman) that I had not got drunk with and heard them pour their heart out! It is hard to lie when *BLEEP*ed.
Just my way of 'checking out' a person :)
SAD... but I do it my way :(

I would certainly agree with bazza I used to go out everyweek and then spend the rest of the weekend in bed but after about a year of just occasional binge drinking I wake up feeling fine  ;D I would never give it up completely I would just be kiddin my self lol

Beer is awesome and the best hangover cure is another pint ;) Usually stick to Stella or Kronenborg, depending on my diary for the following day, i.e. today I have been drinking Grolsch with PeterC whilst taking my 4 apart, having had 'several' yesterday during and after the football and after a little lie-in it was 'spanner time'

Ooh, Kronenborg is one of the worst culprits for a 'sair heid' in the morning for me. Stella aka 'Wifebeater' is not too clever either. I was on Carlsberg for the part of the evening that I can recall fully. The rest is... vague.

I'm with flyingtele on the quality beer theory, but sadly not that many places know what quality beer is.
