Title: ALL TRADESMAN WANTED
Post by: Trouble on May 13, 2009, 01:23:05 pm
Iv managed to secure a church :D in my womanly madness

So in the way of the world this means 2 things Vickers and Tarts party before I start stripping it all out also it means that I intend to make it into 6 apartments and 1 penthouse.

As it is actually still a church ATM i need tradesman and i mean everything. floors, labors, windows, sparkies, plaster, carpets, furnature, fittings, fixtures, estate agents, architects you name it i need it

So if you find yourself a little quiet ATM and would like a bit of extra work please can you email me or PM or add to the list below of trade and login name so i can contact you for a quote??

Currently i have some trades but I will still need quotes (apart from the roof cause that's my job) :D

well the aproximate quote for 6 apartments without the penthouse was a guestimate of 10K so (not knowing where your from mind) its a tie between amount of work money time away from friends family or cat. theres  a lot to weigh up when looking at working away but digs can be sorted easily so just you food n beer

ROFL

*no comment*  - only cause anything i do say is libable to get me into a whole world of trouble. (some people have no sense of humor (or my sense of humor depends how you look at it))

Yes excellent I have no tilers as yet on 2 that mucked me about in the past and 1 that will do walls but not floors and no big areas.  Ask him if he does aquaboard, has any accounts anywhere where i can sponge off his discount. Specially as it will be large amounts and paid in CASH :D :D

Mansfield is 10 miles off the job depending on what side he's on

Ill PM you any quotes for him if your ok with that?

Awesome getting to feel better about this project with having good people behind me now.  Just wish church trustees could get out their r

Rocking chairs and sign the release papers.  Intended date of kick off is 3rd of July when 1 of the trustees is back from a saga bus holiday or something lol.

I'll keep you posted of what's happening  and will be dropping emails to all who expressed an interest for quoting in what's looking like July - august side for most trades.

Keep the names coming no obligations at the time if you can't get the work in its no trouble,

Hi Trouble

For me to quote ill need room sizes in feet and inches as i still work in the old ways.  ill need to know what kind of flooring will be going where, and if you will need gripper-rods, underlay, any joining and door bars etc etc.  I dont supply the flooring by the way, im purely a fitter.

Do you not want the drive or pathway rebuilt? How's your drainage? Are the foundations sound? Windows?
Good luck :)

Karbon:    no worries mate soon as I get some rooms ill be in touch with sizes, fitting only is fine too I have accounts in ost places and don't think it wopuld be too much trouble getting others.  We have 1300 sq foot of solid oak to take up and reuse, let me know how you stand on that.

Jeff: yes we will need new drive ways and path ways just not sure which ones yet I'm going to try to buy the neighbouring shops back yards to save me chopping the front off the church and moving it 20 ft back but fingers crossed. It has some wc and changing rooms with lots of drainage but I'm sure it needs gutting and starting again so I'm expecting the wort and anything useable is a bonus.

Survayer is going in soon as I get the keys, the walls are 2 foot thick and have a stone vain and damp proofing. We have 8 10ft high 3 ft wide windows 4 to each side to take out and send to reclaim.

I only do carpet, vinyl, carpet tiles and laminate im afraid, cant help you with the oak  :(

Hiya DJ ... yes need lots of CCTV door entry and will be needing a quote but its a bit of a way off yet.  Ill drop you a pm with a floor plan at the time n let you know how many I need if that's OK? Do you do anything with garage doors and sprinkler systems?

Jeff.. I'm surprised I never felt spooky about the place until I found the basement. Iv found 2 dead doves on the 1st floor and a big nest at the doorway of the basement which made my sisters and their friend squeal when I chucked a paint tin at it lol.

Iv got a clean up guy coming to quote for today and I'm going to send him in with a camera to give me an idea of what bonus space we have :) yes I'm being a wus and I think iv watched I am legand too many times lol

ok nice one, no weve never done garage doors or sprinklers or anything to do with fire alarms, my dad has done burglar alarms but he trys not to get involved with that side of things lol, the stuff we do is department stores and shops and cctv in places like battered wives homes because of break ins.

Rog had a wail of a time with Ian's riffle now i have a few dejected looking ones sat on my roof top trying to get in. :(

So its all boarded up, had a run in with one of the neighbours who just wants me to tear it down so he get more sun on his back yard :S

got building surveyor's and a sparky in tomorrow to let me know exactly what i have to play with and how much its going to cost  ???
and turn my lights on (although we tried that already and i think somethings died on a cable cause it stank. So we turned em back off, sealed it up n pretended it wasn't us)

basement is about 5mt rs 2
but attic is massive :D another storey up there at least :D so spent two day mucking about with floor plans again.  it now looks like i should be able to get the cars in underneath the two rear floor!

So CCTV !! Id like the phone cameras who tell you who's at the door to also operate in the garage so you can check on your car :D not sure if its possible DJ_Russell ????????????????????

Floor plans are looking good Iv spent a few days at smithys away from home distractions so have a very rough idea :) but I'm not chopping the front of the church off anymore (saving about 20K)

Instead I'm parking inside like I wanted and have 6 apartments in total which will keep the massive peaked windows to the ground floor apartments.

JEFF honey, I'm defiantly going to need the ground workers and driveway sorting. To the right of the church is some WC's they are coming out to allow access for cars

Also any hint and tips would be greatly appreciated at this moment I'm getting lost I think. Xx
