Yes, its time for the old crate to go, might sell, or probably break for parts. 'Why?' you may ask. Simple answer, I have bought another one! Same year, model etc. Only this one has been untouched in terms of modifying. Original paint in good order, even original exhaust. Everything stock. I haven't got it yet, but when I do I will be sure to post some pics up. I will probably keep my other four as a parts car. The previous owner left the country about four years ago and just left the car, so its had no use for about 4 years.
Is there any harm done by leaving a car to sit? Or is it more just a case of checking the radiator coolant and changing the oil and filter? The car has been run and the engine is fine, and the seller took it for a 10 km run to see how it went and he said that it was fine, had plenty of grunt and made no odd noises etc. Upon collection I will change the oil etc and give it a basic service before the drive home. Is there anything else I should check for that could deteriorate through lack of use?

full fluid change and an easy break in for a 100 or so miles and she'll be back to her good self. Had my CS after it lay for 3 years it think it done 1000miles previous to me owning by looking at the old MOTs cause the previous owner retired and bought a 911. I took it easy till i seen a Lancia Delta Evo on the M6 then the old girl got excited and left the Italian scrap behind. All the best with the new motor too buddy.

I'd double check the tyre conditions mate, I hear horrible reports about tyres over 4 year old ...perishing rubber!
-
the tyres are shagged anyway, barely any tread left so thats not an issue lol

Nice 4 mate, looks smart with the OZs on ;)

ChrisW, i remember in a previous thread, i mentioned wanting to get a faff and you told me to pull my head in lol. Well, as you can see I now have two crates. One for parts and one for fun. Personally I dont think the OZ's go with the rest of the car. Maybe if the car was rally red/white and had a nice lamp pod they would look awesome...
