Title: Tired of car-park dings?
Post by: Coyoteboy on November 07, 2008, 01:26:44 pm
I've just spotted a new (to me) product on a car in works car park - www.doordefender.com (http://www.doordefender.com). Looks amazing, fairly dense foam and well held on with strong magnets. Currently only 29$ per side if you want bright green or pink ones!

I'm trying to get them to send a set over as they dont have a UK distributor - maybe we could test them out and I could distribute them if people like them.

You've obviously not met the "he's taking up two-spaces so we'll abuse his car" brigade then! Or the "he's parking miles from the rest of the cars so we'll draw on his car with permanent marker" crowd either?

:) Suffered the above in a variety of places when parking miles from anyone and across two spaces. Places that come to mind -  a tesco in Bath, an Asda in Liverpool, a country lane car-park when MTBing in the hills near the lakes, near the beach in Newquay.

I must just have everyones bad luck!

these stick on door defenders wont protect against the permanent marker  ;)

Not a bad idea, but probably would draw the wrong kind of attention from the guttersnipes.

I always just park miles from anyone else when I can - but you always get the tw@ that parks up tight to your car when there's a zillion other spaces to pick from. Go figure?

No, but it does mean you can park in a normal space thats not out in the open and obvious, so marker penning is less likely  ;)

haha yeah but then the marker-penning crowd will single you out for having stick on door protectors and scribble mercilessly all over ;D

Possibly  ;D

They do need a second look to notice though, they're fairly inconspicuous. I'm very tempted.
