Faff is near back and the excitement is starting to get to me!!!!! ;D
Well as everyone knows i've had a real problematic time with the faff since owning it :(, through no fault of my own but i won't go there with that, but after 4months of it being away and some serious saving and help from RobbieMcVee supplying a block (which in turn was of no use in the end up but many thanks still and it was a gesture that was much appreciated). The wait is near the end, with a bill totalling near 6k minus VAT (which i won't be paying) and with my EC discounts. I'll be collecting my car on Saturday with a big smile on my face (well not when i'm putting the pin code into the card machine lol) The car when i got it was a mess (engine wise) >:( with pictures shown on another thread here, and ever since i've had phone calls pretty much every few weeks needing something else. The last phone call was during the week saying when they were dry building the engine the con rods wouldn't torque up to spec and i had 3 options, tighten them up as tight as they can get them (momentum wouldn't guarantee the engine then) buy new rod bolts (80quid) or go for a complete new set of rods with bolts, I went for the latter. New oil pump was ordered as well as the last one didn't look too healthy and i ARP'd everything in sight. The only original parts on the main engine now is the crank (which has had work done to it by momentum) and the HKS cams everything else is brand new and uprated. The only thing i was waiting on last monday was the oversize valves and i've since heard they have arrived and the head was back with them seated. So roll on this saturday. Insurance is already arranged to be switched over for 9am saturday morning so its going to be all go. Also there is a guy coming from germany to map a few cars at momentum on the 14th of November (mines being one of them) but he is an ex tte wrc celica and corolla mapper and has since started his own business and i'll have the honour of him doing my car to get the most from it.
So hopefully come sat i'll have plenty of pics at the celica-club ireland meet and East Coast Customs.
Many thanks to Momentum for doing all the work and looking after me with the prices, Robbie for his donation of a block, my missus Sarah for putting up with the best part of a year saving for the car. And bazza for running me up to momentum and doing me a few favours i'm glad to be getting.
Glad to be back reunited with a four. :)

I suppose the run in period is going to be real hard, but then again that big hole in your pocket should keep your right foot under control :D Good luck with the car anyhow
