Title: New car for 'R Lass'
Post by: madgaz on September 13, 2008, 12:46:38 am
Well we managed to sell the '*BLEEP*'ara ;D and didn't actually lose anything on it :o :o :o

However, we now need a replacement ::)
She's after something pretty economical (25mpg or above ;)) and a bit of space to fit hay/straw in etc when needed and also chuck the 3 dogs in.
I've suggested an Impreza Sport Wagon :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o but I think this would be pretty much ideal looking at the prices etc.

There are ups and downs of course.
Downs,
It's an Impreza ;D ;D ;D
Ups,
Economical(ish)
Good size but not too big
Japanese
Will fit camping gear in for JAE etc
Japanese (as above) BUT will be eligable for a place on the stand (far far far away from the front haha)
Better than attending meets in a fookin BMW ;D ;D ;D (Is it better?)

Oh yeah,
It'll be lucky if it covers 5000 miles a year and must be under £1500 haha.

She's a woman so I was thinking that they may be a little too big for her ;D ;D ;D
The Impreza Wagon seems to be a smaller estate and therefore more 'Lady Friendly' :D ;D :D ;D :D

Shoot Me

Not only do I drive a BMW as a 'day car' but we also have an Impreza Wagon now :o ;D
And to top it all of it is a Sport with a Turbo bonnet ;D ;D ;D.
Fortunately we have also the original bonnet 8)
N Reg, 125k, good condition, also managed to get a spare leather interior AND some extra 16" Speedlines in good nick. Taxed for 5 months and tested for 9 all for £840 :o
Seems pretty cheap to me and all seems to be OK so far on the 60 mile run from Nottingham to home toaday 8)
