***Remember this is only a bit of FUN***
After a little discussion in another thread when both cars come back from their rebuilds in the near future who will have the quicker car?
Both cars will have their advantages, as i think mines will outpower chris' but on the other hand mines is a full weight car minus the air-con, whereas chris' is stripped out to the max.
It will be decided by time slips with a 1/4 mile pass.
Now get voting!!!!!

Why isn't there a button for Robbie?

Hehehe, dunno, you'll have to ask Paul ;)
Who should I vote for?
-
cause its a bit of fun between me and chris, thats all its not the fastest car on the EC (i'm sure someone else out there who is keeping quiet will be quicker I know tjc's car would roast the both of us if he still has it) i can edit the poll to suit if others are interested in getting there names added........
-
I think Jeff's Kia will beat you all.
-
if he still had his good one maybe
-
Power to weight could be similar should be very intresting. ('mon the faff lol)
-
get some spec's down... ;)
-
If I go, I'll have to bring the Trooper........
Someone's gonna have to tow Paul home.............. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
haha @ bazza
power wise for my car in the region of 650bhp with a full load minus the air con and a fat (damn swear filter lol) driving
Car before rebuild was in region of 530 with the extra five grand its getting its expected to well clear 600bhp on super and be well over 650 on race fuel sunoco 109 octane which both maps are being made for the car
-
I don't know til I get it mapped, tho the limiting factor will be the turbo as it is rated to 2 bar and between 520-550bhp. We shall see ;)
-
love my tubbie as it can go alot higher and i'm looking at 2.3 bar mapping

-
its got to be with Paul for me - as it's part mine ;)
-

reliability on 500 plus 185 ;D

So what's your point? ::)
-
ain't one ... :-X
-
Do we have a weight on the 185 or are we guessing? Whats been stripped out?
-
Only got two Corbeau seats in the 185, literally. I keep meaning to get it down to the weighbridge, but I never have it for long enough, lol. I have put on a couple of kilos myself :( over the last 4 months but it will be negligible.
-
faff is standard atm with no aircon or abs and i've lost a few pounds haha
-
Paul has the car still got those big 10" subwoofers in the back?
I voted for you ;)
-
nope it does not, i was wondering why there was a huge amp under the passenger seat, this also has been removed
-
They were behind the trim where the standard speakers go, not in the boot. Just incase you were wondering
-
Any news on when your both getting your cars back?
-
Still juggling bits around in mine to get it fitting well. Hopefully not too long before I can start the running in :D
-

i know there was uprated speakers and tweeters in the door pods, i'll have to check the rear and see when it comes back and fife i'm expecting a few weeks max with mines so hopefully be doing the run in period for the end of october
-
Cool i'll bet you cant wait, i'd find it really hard to keep the revs down when running in but i supose the cost of the rebuild on your mind would keep your right foot in check lol
Any word back from crail chris?
-
Not as yet, tho I shall be sending again. I think that if I can forward some details re the interest this is generating then we may have more of a chance?
Who would be interested in attending a 'north of the border' meet, date to be determined, for a weekend of frolics and fast fours?
I understand that Paul and I have started this, tho I would like to make this a club event...............camping, beer, music, beer, cars, beer........you know how it works. I will help organise everything for those who are enthusiastic ;)
-
yeah exactly it was a good idea to begin with and it has generated some interest so why not make a day or two from it and make it a calendar day for the whole club, it gives the scots a chance to have some fun too as they might miss out on some events held in the south
-
i thought that that was the plan all along!!
get some idea of dates so we can sort stuff out!!
-
I hope I get another gt4 for this

I thought I mentioned this some time ago?
-
you did thats why i posted it up.......
-
OK, let's get an idea on numbers then. If you want to run your 4 for 1/4 mile, track time or just sit back and get the camcorder rolling, then camping after with a few beers can you put details below:
1. ChrisW - 1/4 mile - track time - camping
2. paul_gt4 - 1/4 Mile - Track Time - Camping
3. Fifegt4 - 1/4 Mile - Track time - camping (maybe)
4. Strapper-1/4 mile-track time- depending on when I get my four(it's getting painted insurance job )
5. Cee - 1/4 mile - track time - camping
6.
7.
8.
I can't guarantee if they will do a track event, but no harm asking ;) Date-wise I was thinking a Sat and Sun combo with camping from the Friday, any thoughts?
Cheers

Sounds ok to me

-
where about's are you thinking of holding this and when ? might be intrested but might need to sit in the fridge for a week or so to climatise before i come up that far north ;D ;D
-
Was thinking Crail, as this will be the first event in Scotland for the club. I'll not know about dates until I hear from the owner, I shall send an email shortly, but for example, I'm thinking around either November (maybe a little short notice) or more likely Feb-March?
-
i'm prefering next year tbh as i'll be a bit more flexible with cash as i've that bill too pay for the car, then heading to paris in december, and halloween is a major thing over here so a bit of cash spent there too.......... plus alot of petrol for a run in period
-
AS I say, Feb-March is more favourable. I shall find out more ;)
