Well as some of you know we have 2 basset hounds, one rescued a couple of months ago. Sadly Teddy the one we rescued has had to be rehomed with someone else. He decided to have a pop at my little girl, was given a second chance as she did pull his tail, however he had another go at her only a day or so later because she was telling him no. The same night I tried to move him away from the dining table and he bit me! Wasnt hard just a warning, but that was enough for me. I am right in the middle of a custody battle and cant/wont risk my little girl for anything. He is now in a home where there are no children or other dogs so he's the centre of attention and doing very very well so alls well that ends well so I'm not so upset now.
A week after he's gone and we get a call from someone looking for a home for their PUPPY Basset :o We go see him today and he's come home with us ;D They have a little girl same age as katie and he's great with her, he's just so full of energy she cant get her work done from home so he's had to go. So I guess Teddy didnt fit in here for a reason, fate left us with little Flash 8)
So here he is

Oh this little lad is only a baby at 7 months and is totally puppy. He's here for life mate as the other 2 are. My last dog was 13 when we had to have her put down, and god after 13 years of owning her it was heartbreaking. I decided when I was ill and we lost Maizie that I didnt want anymore dogs, but once I was fighting fit again I really did miss them. Thats it now though, 3 is enough, even if I would love a house full of Bassets :P
We wouldnt of parted with Teddy but nipping the little one isnt a risk I am prepared to take, she told me he'd bitten her twice, second time there were slight red marks, so as much as we loved him he had to go. The home he's in now is 5* so we are all happy :)

But is this one any good at fixing motors? :D
Plenty of time for training though.
Awesome dogs 8) i take it they dont need much walking? lol

This ones thicker than the other one :D :D
He's settled in a treat and is a great little pup, proper poser to, got some fab pics of him. Nah dont take much walking, up to 9 month old a 5 minute walk is more than enough as your not supposed to put any pressure on their joints or back, after that half an hour a day is fine though they can walk all day if you ask them.
I've started my own little fun website for basset lovers and am having loads of fun ;)
