Title: Insurance
Post by: calam on July 16, 2008, 04:04:39 pm
Hi folks

My renewal is due end of the month, and had my new quote through from Sky. Unfortunately its gone up £15 a month, so want to shop around to try and beat it.

Can people add who they are with below as i dont want to waste my time ringing the major companies to find out theres nothing cheaper. I would prefer to stay with Sky but after receiving my final years NCB i would have expected some sort of decrease, so think it maybe worth my while shopping round this time.

Thanks in advance

Adrian Flux was always good to me on my last four, but this time Sky beat them...

Well I have to say NFU, they have been brilliant for me, huge difference in price to sky much much lower and so easy to use!  Jools has been with them for a long time and wouldnt swap.

I changed from Sky to A Plan insurance about a week ago and saved over a £100 :) and the policy is better ;)

Try Footman James - as a Club member they should be able to do you a decent deal :)

yeah as stated try footman james, i'm with abbey over here in N Ireland as most English companies won't cover N Ireland, and as of recent years they have been quite competitive, have a try with them to see how you fair out.

I only have a years no claims (though I've been driving for years as a named driver) but they didnt care about that, they still put me as full no claims, they didnt want to know about any mods on the car, just what car and age, and my insurance was only £135 more to insure me on the 4, than it was to insure me on a 1.7TD Astra!  NFU are great  :)
