Well the 165 club is so exclusive!!! you dont get alll these fun things to sort with other lesser cars!! LOL
My tip take it in stages, there is so much help and advice available you can get on top of the issues.
TBH they are all common problems, but can all be fixed.
Good luck

Your new best friend (if you don't already know him that is) will likely be Trev at TCB: -

I got a new genuine rear diff mount for £60 ish from him...dealer price over £100. Dead easy job to replace. I am sure you know of this magnificient resource: -

...bought a pair and some complete front driveshafts...the driveshafts already had decent cv's on so the new pair are gathering dust ready for when I need them! Can't remember the price but it wasn't too bad ;D
You'll be ok with all of the problems you mention...even a replacement tubo won't set you back too much and is not too difficult to fit...good luck fella and we're all here to help if needed

cheers guys ive got over my depression moment now and i get paid next week plus i should be getting a cheque for my old car that was written off so i think im going for new driveshaft + cv's and new turbo first.
thanks for the encouragement and links :)
plus its all worth it for the pop up lights according to my other half! lol
-
Pop up headlights are definitely the key. Think thats the main thing my missus likes about the 185, and the vibration now my exhaust is catching the crossmember :D
-
yep you can't go wrong with TCB! they sorted me out my lower arm and fig 8 link for my ST205 for £320 each side when Toyota wanted in excess of £1000!
Also just bought new water pump from them £40, new cam belt £19.18, new front pads £16 and new genuine Toyota disks £59.95 each!

Welcome to the 4 ;D
Be sure the knocking at the front is CV and not wheelbearing. Wheelbearings on the 4 seem to make a clicking noise on cornering similar to CV joint, then after a few more miles start whining as well.
-
ive checked for any play in the bearing and there isnt any but ive had some ood problems with bearings b4 on other cars that have been really hard to diagnose
problem now is i cant find a 2nd hand drive shaft and im a little low on money at moment
guess ill just have to get saving lol
also im guessing all 165s are abs
and are the inner and outer cv joints the same??
(excuse my ignorance)
