Howdie Folks.
As I got an email inviting me back here - I thought I'd pop in and say Hello.
I not longer have a GT4 - as she's been taken away by a big bad man who took it home with him to Belgium (actually he was a top bloke who gave me money and I know will really look after her)
To cut a long story short I've passed to the Dark Side. I now have an '84 Corvette, none of this turbo faff, no 4WD, no comfort, no handling to speak of, loads of faults, a bitch to drive, not many parts available off the shelf and totally the best car I've ever had!
So if there's a meet nearby I might pop down and show you what a real engine's like ;-)
Would be good to see some ol' pals again!

Hello there John, welcome back to the madness. 8)
You DO know there are doctors you can speak to who can help you with this sad affliction that has developed since you left the fold!! ;D ;D
You are welcome to bring your antiquated lump of yankee pig iron along to any of our meets - we do love a good giggle, especially if we are having a drive down some wriggly bits afterwards!! ;)
-
Hi John, good to see you drop by ;) You're welcome to pop by if a meet catches your attention. Though for the purpose of photos and video, you will have to park 'round the corner' ;D ;D
Cheers
-
Sorry to tell you mate but you had already gone to the dark side well before buying a vett ;)
-
whats with everyone buying big classic yank mobiles these days, seen a few mustangs about over here, would love to know where you's are getting the money to fuel them guzzly V8's and John one comment for ya, this thread is useless without pics get them up and don't be a stranger
-
Well, Fuel wise - it's far better than the faff - to some tune! - More reliable too!
Suppose I could find a few pics?

I'm too scared to find out - it's too big to chuck about - however as it's really stiffly sprung (weird for a yank I know - and only stiff for '84) it handles far better than I'm prepared to push it - cos when it does finally let go it'll be a big'un!
-
yeah really stiff because its got toyotra hilux leaf springs in the rear, even the 2008 vette still uses leaf springs which i think is nuts for a car of that stature

Leaf springs eh - there's only one that's mounted transversely. It works though. Bit like a 5.7l v8!
-
yeah well its one more than i have lol......... i whats it like going over speed bumps boing boing lol........ hope it brings you many happy miles motoring
-
a great car for putting women with boobs in!
-
don't want to know why......... cause its that old it doesn't have airbags haha
-
LMAO @ John and Paul.
Good to see you nip in...hope you get the bug back soon for the 4 and get rid of your barge ;D (Obviously not replacing it with a 185 cos all you will gain is 4wd ;D and about 100kg ;D)
-
Iteresting Comments John, particularly amused by the "handles well" joke, but why did you post those pictures of an autojumble!! ;D ;D ;D
