Evening all, just wanted to let everyone know Jools had his op today on his arm and god what a day.
We were at the hospital for 8am and told that he wasnt a day case after all as we had been told, but in for at least one night probably 2, they then tried to send me home without a hope in hell so me and Jools sat in the day room till 2.30pm until they took him down for surgery.
They told me he'd be an hour, 2 tops, so I went and got a book and sat in the sun at the front of the hospital till visiting hours started at 6pm, some 3 and a half hours after he went down for surgery. When I got there he still wasnt back on the ward so I went into complete panic mode and at 6.30pm they rang down to the theatre to see if there was anything wrong, they informed me that he'd just come out of surgery and was in recovery and he'd be back up on the ward by 7pm after his obs were done. So off I went for a totter about to calm myself down after such a worry and back I went at 7pm, and still no Jools. I stood around and a twenty to eight they rang and said he was coming up in 10 minutes. 8.30pm they finally brought him back up onto the ward. Surgery took them much longer than they thought it would but all was ok with him, he'd just had some trouble with waking once out of surgery and they wouldnt let him come back up to the ward till he had had 3 sets of obs done, hence him being so late back onto the ward.
I managed to sit with him till 9pm but left him to sleep and have just got back at 10pm totally shattered and worried sick about him.
So fingers crossed everyone cos he wants to be out and home tomorrow and personally I dont think he's got a cat in hells chance, but hey if he posts on here tomorrow night then we'll know he was right and I was wrong, just keep em crossed he's right cos I'd much rather him be home where I know he's safe and can look after him myself.
I'll post again tomorrow night if he doesnt :-[

Hi guys, Jools is home now I collected him this morning. He's strapped up tight and is talking funny from a swollen mouth, but doing ok. He's very sore and aching but thats only expected really but happy to be home and out the stuffy hospital. All he can do now is rest and pray. The docs have seen him and x-ray'd him this morning and are happy, though he said in all his careea its the worst break of the humerous he's ever seen, but he thinks they have done a good job in rebuiling and plating it up and is happy so Jools is happy to. I'll pass on any messages, and I'm sure once he's feeling well enough to tye himself he will.
He will want to be up and about asap I'm sure, as he wants to get the faff fixed, with help from others of course as one handed would be a challange :o :D ;D
