I've finally sorted the login problems out, so time to say hi and post a bunch of pics I guess? Some of you may know me from other 'Four related forums. If not; I'm René, MY1984.7, Dutch, ST185 CS (the best model ;) )driver/nutter and I have a high end Jap parts fetish.
More importantly, this is what I drive:
^ 1992.2 Carlos Sainz, 2433•5000, originally sold in Germany.
And this is how I bought it September 2005 - 100% stock with 123,121 kms on the clock:
I got the signed certificate with it, brand new factory donut, cassette player, etc. Since only 10 have been sold over here originally it took me roughly two years to find a good one I liked (You may remember requests on the OC forum about RC's at the time). Since then I installed some aftermarket parts. :) My goal is to make it lighter, stiffer, faster and overall better with high end Japanses parts only (if possible). Current spec. list:

^ Previous wheels; RAYS Engineering Gram Lights 57S
I couldn't find brakes with the specs I was after, so I decided to ask AP Racing about custom sets. After loads of e-mails and sending OEM parts to the AP Racing headquarters in Coventry, they developed a whole new kit for my car - I'm proud to say my car features the world's first ever AP Racing Formula big brake kit for the ST185 8)

^ Again previous wheels (I only mounted the TE37's last Saturday! ;) )
^ Again, previous wheels - which were Scooby offset. Currently it looks really fat/bad ass! :D

^ That's what I'm talking about! :D

I had it on the rollers in stock form (HKS SSQV blow-off valve, Ogura 409D-03T clutch & flywheel being the only mods at the time) and it put down 180.9 awhp @ 5598 RPM, so keeping in mind that was on a quite 'negative' SuperFlow dynamometer I guess I've got a good 'un!

^ Will do another few runs soon I hope :)

Phew! Think that covers it so far.. :)
In a few weeks time I should receive my ACPT (Not JDM, but they supply TRUST and HKS so that's cool ;D )carbon fiber prop shaft.
Future mods I'd like to get are a Nardi deep corn steering wheel on a Works Bell snap-off system, Bride Stradia seats with Takata harnesses, Cusco cage and one day there wíll be a forged engine with big (GT3071 ish?) turbo and supporting mods..
More pics and info are on my website; Turbocelica.nl (http://www.turbocelica.nl)
I think that's it, let me know what you think please! :)

-
nice for some, my dads cousin just got himself a new lambo, have to get a drive in that when the weather clears up (why buy a stupid money car and only take it out in dry weather and live in ireland MONEY WASTED lol)

Lovely car :)

Now that is a nice piece of kit. Far better than the Italian tat its next to! :) ;D

Since I'm interested in buying a nice wide angle ('fish eye') lens, I scored a ghetto version from eBay to mess around with and see whether I like it or not. It's basically for holiday use but also for car photography. Quite cool effects can be achieved imo 8)
Took these after a quick wash tonight;
