Title: Productive boxing day!
Post by: soundmangt4 on December 26, 2007, 04:15:09 pm
Well, decided as it was quite a nice day I was going to finally get around to sorting out my RC. Ever since the accident damage was finished, the car has looked odd with the RC decals on one side but not the other, so after washing it (and my girlfriends 307), I set about the decals with a hot air gun, a petrol soaked rag and half a gallon of elbow grease. It took a fair old while to remove all evidence of the RC decals, and also remove the OZ racing sticker that had been on there since it was imported, but now it looks so much nicer.  8)
No stickers at all, and I must say that I prefer it this way. The GT-Four RC stickers may be how it came out of the factory, but I think the lines look much better without.

Hi Lee,

Yes it's behaving fine, and not got above 82 deg C since I switched the fan to run constantly again. Most bizarre.
I think for the sake of a few quid, when I bring it over again for the suspension top mount, I think a new water pump is the right thing to do.
I do have the laptop running the Motec software showing me all the sensor readings when I drive it nowadays just to be sure though!!
I am also going to get the map tweaked in the New Year, and release some of the power that I know is waiting to be unleashed!!

Glad to hear it's behaving Rob. I must get around to sorting a decent water temp gauge and see if it compares to your temp readings, you got the lower temp 'stat?

Ironically, Doc has had water pump probs and mine is leaking a little(new gasket, but a new pump can't do any harm, eh?)

Looking forward to seing what sort of figures you get post-tweaks ;)

Cheers
