Title: 20faff wrc breaking
Post by: STEVEtheHUTT on November 14, 2007, 05:59:02 pm
as above, the engine is cracked and the box could also b goosed. fig 8s have gone 2, but the rest of the car it in pretty good condition.  its the car formally known as K1ANO so check out martins site 4 the full spec. i think jerry at the wheel repair centre wants the bonnet due 2 it having the original mounting points 4 the 4pod light cluster the he now owns.
may sell as car whole. it wont be getting stripped until nxt month when i have moved house.

cheers folks

This has depressed me a bit as Steve bought the car from me after a full forged engine rebuild (a full page of pics are on my site www.k1ano.co.uk) - it was very fast as I think he will agree. It is a shame the WRC has had this problem as Steve is a true enthusiast, especially for the ST185CS, and really does put all his efforts into these cars ...

As far as the engine was concerned, I used Wiseco 86.5 mm pistons and had the Block bored and it ran fine for many 1000ks of miles but seems to have suffered, as Steve indicates, from a cracked block. A risk that everyone has with an overbore on the ST205.

The car looks super in Black and I have many pictures on my site of when I owned it. There is also some history, which may help, and a spec list which may have changed slightly.

chill dude ;)
car or parts no longer available as project super carlos is probably going to consume the whole thing, sum of the parts will be used in a swap deal 2 secure the new project car, the rest will probably be used on the cs

sorry folks
