Failed with 72% :-[
-
I only managed 90%, but what annoyed me are some of the questions are ambiguous, such as the diesel/naturally aspirated question - answers "because the piston moving down sucks it in" and "atmospheric pressure pushing it in" are both technically the same thing - the piston going down creates a low pressure area, but if atmospheric pressure were not present to push the air in, the air wouldnt go in. Tough call on a couple of them.

i passed 82% though to be fair i had only just got up ;D
good test that. the weights and pulley bit was challenging
-

70% with knowing naff all about cars really :D Im happy with that.....ssshhh nobody mention i failed ;)
-
90% is not car related though... just physics?? :)
-
thanks, Jeff.....u know how to *BLEEP* on my bonfire dont ya ;)
-
daft boogar...shows you have 'the knowledge' but electic parrallel and in series are out of 'cinc' or else your pullies rotated the wrong way? either that or your ratios were wrong when you pulled a foot and got an inch moved????
Damn it man... I did double math and physics at 'proper' A level in 67
what else was going on in 67?
I dunno! anyone who was there in 67 duno either :)
-
1867 people any body about then...... help jeff with his problematic memory
-
98% for me !!!!
yeah the the engine drawing air, or atmos pushing it in, was a tough one. i decided to go with the suck it in. as if you took the inlet chamber, to be sealed. ( after all the test case world is all that was shown ), then it would have been sucked from the reduction of pressure netted by the dropping piston.
of course we know its actually in real world helped by the atmos pushing... but hey didnt want to get 100%. oh the mechanical engineering a-level alone would have got me 94%. :) the only two based on oil/fuel and that one ambiguous one.
:)
-
88% but i dont want a job at ford!!!
-
86%, some ambiguous questions,
fans direction of rotation from which point of view?
Ignoring friction on pulleys?
-
well blow me.. 97%
-
well blow me..
No
-
£50 and I might consider it??
gawd... did not mean that... it is Friday :)
