Title: What are the best speakers for a PC?

I have some flat panel advent jobbies at the minute. With a seperate sub etc.
They look good enough but I just want BETTER ;D
What have you got?
They are mainly just to listen to music through...all types of music.
I'm not too bothered what they look like as I can locate them discretely ;) but I want the quality to be great whether I have the volume up or down 8)
Budget? As cheap as possible of course ;D

Your input will be greatfully received ;)

Got an altec lansing set a while ago with a sub and they were superb or anything by cambridge audio :)

Do you not need an extra card with 5.1 to plug the speakers into?

I would love some Bose or even Bang and Olufsen but the budget (read wife) just wont let me streach that far yet ;D
