Title: an update from japshow finale
Post by: dawesy on October 08, 2007, 09:48:09 pm: well went there in the rolla, first run out didnt feel all that quick, didnt seem to have a lot of traction. that and the handbrake not really holding the car for a good burnout (will get that adjusted)
lined up for a second attempt which went better, a little more traction but still had to lift in second.
went and got my slips.
first run 12.47@120mph. wow a personal best then looked at the slip for the second run.....................................

12.19@122!!!!!! so the rolla is getting nearer the 11 sec goal. dont forget that its still FWD too

yeah if i can get traction in second its defo 11 sec car. im waiting for a front antiroll bar as soon as that lands im getting all the geometry set up so under launch there is near zero camber. also going to try some toyo 888's, that run was on A048R's and they arnt the best tyre for dragging. confident that with the geometry setup and some wrinkle wall drag slicks it may even nude into the 10's 8)

pete, no the pizzas and curries are getting there hot now just getting complaints that the toppings have been ripped off :lol:
