Post by: the_italian on September 19, 2007, 05:19:50 pm
hey everyone, im marc, and i bought my first gt4 a few months ago

its been away for a month getting some work done, but i finally got it back a few days ago, so thought i would shard some before and after pics

this is what it was like close up before i sent it away, crazy jap didnt look after it by the looks of it, photos are only some of the bads bits, the whole thing had blemishes around it

and this is it 'finished' so to speak, still got a lot of engine work to do to get it faster but iv fixed all that needs fixed

alloys go in for a refurb next week, manifold/decat and getting done next week as well, need to get a set of UK spec clocks for it as well, but for now im just enjoying it

Strange spacing on the front number plate?? Does it mean something to someone?
PS where are your Italian connections based?

My name is Marc, surname starts with F, so its meant to look like Marc F

italian connections are with family ties, originate from a small town near Torino

nowadays everywhere is the 'tourist area' lol

where have you been?

We have been to Sorrento, Rome, Limone, Sirmione, Venice, Belzarno....:)

been around then!

go to the islands, sardinia and corsica(even though its really france lol)

and sicily is worth a look

seems you've been mainly north and west, except for venice, try going further down the east coast, its really nice, and a lot more remote, lots of peace and quiet

and modena for the ferrari factory is a must if your in the area, its more in the north, right in the centre where the 'boot' starts on the map, but its got more tourists than locals usually so brace yourself

and if you fancy skiing, go to bardonnechia, thats where we have a house, very small town, some of the winter olympics were held there which kinda turned it all on its head for a while but thankfully its calming down now, but dont expect much except great ski ranges :)

Gratzi. I'm no skier, I like the quiet (sound of beer in a glass) so I'll look at the East coast & like you say the islands. Got a mate with family in Sicily and I think they just started flights from Newcastle.
Cheers bud.
