Roll Call!
« on: March 24, 2016, 01:51:20 am »
Helllllllo folks...

Just wondering how everyone is doing, and if you're all still active in the Four-ternity. It's been quiet on here, but i get the feeling theres a few of you still pass through.

I'm entering a few hillclimbs and trackdays this year with my 205, so I'm looking forward to the next few months of tarmac blasting action. All going well.

Hope you are all well and getting the most from your automotive toys. I'd love another meet too, if there's enough interest.

Bye for now!

Dave.

I thought there were 'only' 3 dedicated clubs. I frequent 2 of them (clue - they're the free ones). I think though that Social Media has taken over from message boards for much of the organising and info spreading activities. I'm not on Facebook, so I can't really say for sure, but I think the majority will be and it's easier to use on phones etc.

Good to see you on here Jeff, and I presume you've not sold all your Fours?

Hi all.
How is everyone doing?  I am in the process of poly bushing the back of the car as I think my diff cushion has perished. I have already got the front bushes. When the car goes for its mot and service, the bushes will get fitted them.

Next on the list is replacing the ecu. I am getting a ecumaster standalone ecu - write up to follow.

Hi Jeff,
You should be able to re-bush the radius arm, unless the arm is bent. I'd advise doing both sides though.

Yeah, I reckon I did ok for my first jaunt... the roadgoing class A had many interpretations of 'roadgoing', and I couldn't touch the modified Scoobies, so I was middle of the pack. I came first out of the cars in my class which arrived under their own steam, lets say! Doune has quite a reputation and is known as 'King of the Hills', and there were a few crashes early on... I was glad to keep it mostly under control! I did break the power steering, which robbed me of my last run of the weekend (which would obviously have been an event winning time, LOL).

I intend to sample a few more Hillclimb venues, and maybe enter a championship next year. It's all good fun.

Still here but annoyed with Mtec brakes. Ordered from the website a set of discs for my crate to get shipped to the garage doing the MOT. they got there but the size was wrong. called them up and told them the discs were the wrong size, so I sent them back and they sent out replacements. these were still wrong. Also turns out the handbrake shoes are also wrong. The lot is going back for refund and I have told the garage to source them locally, as the car has been there for 2 weeks now.  >:(

Just out of interest, to have the fuel lines changed, do you need to be in the boot at all ? I have a feeling the amp rack in the car needs to come out  :( On the plus side, I can then refit the new smaller amps I have sitting at home waiting to go in.

Well done Frikkin
Martyn, I seem to remember a plate on boot floor that needs to be taken off to get to wireing etc. good luck.

Cheers for that Jeff. The garage had problems with the rear brakes. Hopefully import car parts have got it right, as my disks have had to come from Japan.

When I get the car back, at least it gives me the opportunity to change the amps and get the Walboro installed finally. :)

Where, import car parts ?. I think I'm up that way at the end of the month, in Hartlepool. Hope to put a face to the name ;)
