engine builders
« on: November 01, 2010, 12:56:32 pm »
Hi folk not been on here in a while been very busy with work. Anyways  thinling about getting another 185. When I get one plan on fitting a gt 30 or gt35r. So will be needing to do an engine rebuild which I have done a few times in the past. But really don't have as much time these days. Two jobs two kids and a wife! So will be buying all the parts required and looking for someone to build it together. Anyone suggest anyone or? I am in ayrshire on scotland. Also how much do yous recon it would cost?

Hi Gordon, Don't know anyone up your way, sadly, however as for cost it depends on the bits you want to buy, but I reckon you're looking at the thick end of £2k or more for the rebuild depending on how far the rebuild is going. HTH

Cheers

That what I was expecting. Be forged pistons and rods all put together with arp fixings all new bearings just whatever it needs to be pretty much bullit proof.  Just need to gradually collect the parts.

Do you know a rough price for the engine?
