carbon roof, bonnet, guards and hatch for st185
« on: May 24, 2010, 01:39:57 am »
Hey guys, i'v been building my gt4 for a number of years now and am noy toying with the idea of making all the pannels into carbon to get the weight down, what do you think?
My brother is a carbon specialist and said he'd make it all if i pay for the materials.
i'm looking at the front quarter guards, the bonnet, the roof and the rear hatch into carbon.
or if we do make them would you know anyone else who would buy them?

I'm sure the roof is structural but the rest would be cool!
Postage from Aussy would be a fortune tho'???
Previously a UK WRC ST205 & a CS (UK !*%)
Now.... a 1970 Triumph 13/60 convertible, a Hyindai Amica and a Honda CR-Z Hybrid :)

If you made some for the st185 i would be keen, and Im only across the ditch lol. Not sure about a carbon roof, but the side doors would probably be a better idea and offer a bigger weight saving IMO. I think a carbon bonnet, front guards, doors and rear hatch as  set would be a real good idea as it would be more cost effective to buy all at once and it would save heaps of weight.
