Old Rally Games
« on: September 23, 2009, 05:36:24 pm »
Sega Rally featured the 205 Celica in 1995, but there was an older one in 91/92, which featured the 185. It was in a stand alone arcade machine and worked off a joystick and buttons.
Can anyone remember what it was called?

I think I spent my student loan in one of them back in '93. It's great that there are geeks out there preserving the treasures of our youth... when we're old n' decreppit we'll see them on antiques roadshow.

I wonder how you'd go about getting one of the pcb boards to work?

shouldnt be too hard, unless the tracks have corroded. some of the capacitors would probably be dried up and needing replacement

I wish someone would do a conversion to PC of it.

Did anyone play Hotrod, which was out at a similar time? It was a horizontally (table) mounted screen, 4 players, top down viewpoint. Absolutely addictive.
