Being permanently drunk I am permanently an expert in cars from 1964<1999 ... I can recognise silluettes and name that horn tune so do not ignore me if you need an 'oldie'
(sorry Chris)
Plus, as a highways engineer I know one hell of a lot about the traffic and road traffic acts never mind the highways act (which I eat for breakfast every day) the highway code is an offensive piece of sheite and not to be regarded as a law BUT ... If i go for it and... If I blow it... I would resign as a member of the club and the human race

Not wanting to be pedantic Jeff, however, the Highway Code contains a great deal of legal information, in addition to many guidelines as to safety for you and other road users, i.e. all the signage is legal, the stopping distances(yes, I know) are a guideline, and a dated one at that

Cheers

PS Did you know that a mobility scooter/wheelchair must not exceed 8mph if driven on the highway and display flashing amber lights?
