ST185 Astral black 62km's
« on: October 01, 2007, 11:10:44 pm »
Right people. Here we have my trusty narrow bodied 185 in Astral Black. Bought this GT4 mid summer to be my daily ride. Bit of a project with some minor faults, mostly cosmetic.

I want to finish this 4 off as it's one of the mechanically best I've driven for a while. However, due to new projects and the serious lack of will power to finish her off is forcing me to either break her or try to sell her as a rolling, drivable project (would be a shame to break THIS 4 up).

Please note...
This is no rolling rust bucket or bags of washers in a tin can. I have spent some time spannering around this car and she's solid

To finish this little gem off, you'll need to do the following:

> Replace the OS wing that is supplied
> Source or replace the OS front KYB Green ADJ suspension strut as it's just let go
> Rear diff cusion will need replacing, however still very drivable
> Fit the 2 remaining rear suspension lowered springs (supplied - approx 35-40mm drop)
> Fit the supplied NEW drop links to the rear suspension.
> Fit the main heater / air con control unit as the main right bottom buttom has lost it's colouring / paint - looks shabby & untidy, again supplied

These faults to the average 185 DIY'R will take a couple of weekends to fix.

Overall this car is very clean, 2nd gear slightly notchey but not detrimental, has the odd shopping ding here and there, and drives bloody well. Is a good car and has the base of  being a very good 185. No over heating probs, no smoke. Suprisingly quick too.
