Title: My 165 :-(
Post by: Wiggy on December 07, 2010, 05:09:54 pm
Hi all

yep, the time has come for me and GT4's to finally part company  :-[ My 165 has been used very little in the last few years and still needs things to finish it off that I haven't got time to do.
The engine is as new ST205 (probably only about 5k miles on it from new) starts and runs lovely but the car does need finishing
205 gearbox, very crisp
Interior is completely stripped
Dash flocked, along with centre console and door cards
Well documented on here etc what's been done
I am asking for it no where near what its worth and I'd get a lot more if I broke it but again don't have the time
The custom AP brake setup (6 pots with custom bells and 320 x 32mm rotors costing over £2k) still needs fitting along with the new brake pipes (supplied) and brake bias adjuster (supplied)
3" DP lagged
Stainless manifold, lagged with custom heat sheild
Trust turbo heat shield fitted
Just bought an electronic boost controller for it, not fitted along with gauge
Adjustable whiteline ARB (not fitted)
Autometer dual intake temp gauge with sensors and probes (not fitted)
205 LSD supplied
205 rear brakes supplied
I'll also chuck in an almost complete Toyota engine gasket set, new oil filter and any other parts I have, silicone hoses etc etc, just need to clear it all out so you get the lot.
Custom front mount setup with dump valve all fitted (all mechanics sorted) engine is sweet as a nut
Full Blitz exhaust, sounds nice
Raybrig headlights, MILES better than the originals
UK rear lights to fit (rally replica)
UK rear number plate surround supplied to fit
Fidanza flywheel supplied
Rally race (roulette) wheels with new rubber
Rally race carbon wheel brake vents supplied
Brand new Red top 45 rally battery
Spare power steering pump
Spare starter motor
standard 205 manifold
I'm sure there is more so I'll add as and when I remember
Like I said its all there, she just needs some love and putting back together and finishing off

Open to sensible offers to get it off my drive around the £2500 mark, bring a trailer and drive it away.

Overall very good condition as anyone who has seen it will tell you - if you want picture just give me a shout I have loads

Been with me since importing it myself back in 2005, so 1 UK owner

Sad sad day :(
Bargain of the year for somebody.

yep  :-[

In many many ways I will be a sad sad boy to see her go but on the flip side I know that who ever does will probably finish her off and enjoy themselves for many years. If I had a garage I'd stick her in the corner put a cover over her and wait for 10 years. She's sat there looking all sad and needs a good home.
Someone somewhere must want her??

Lots of random pics below, any Q's give me a shout. I'm open to reasonable offers and would be willing to reduce the price if you didn't want some of the bits that I can flog on separately

Make it £2k and its yours, the brake kit alone cost more and its never been fitted, so you are sort of getting the car for free.
I must be mad but I am never going to have the time to finish it and its going to waste  :-\

To be done ?

She starts on the button, she runs sweet as and drives, well as far as out of my drive and back thats all she's done for a while.
No brakes at the mo as I was half way through ripping out all the old system.
I have loads of fittings and new copper pipe that I was planning to run through the inside of the car and fit a bias adjuster next to the gear lever.
Obviously have the new AP brake kit for the front and have 205 rear calipers and was going to buy new 205 rear discs.
Once this is done she will start, run and stop (I use the handbrake at the mo)
Seats will be needed, again you may have seen I had the Sparco ones a while ago that I sold. For the rally rep she was going to be I decided that Recaro SPG seats would be needed but I've never bought them.
It comes will all sorts of little bits and bobs, I have a selection of bonnet pins, proper old skool ones for the boot along with spring hooks as per the TTE car, 3" 5 point Sabelt harness
Really, seats, brakes and an MOT and away you go then you finish off the bits as you go.

The brakes are the biggest job and I simply don't have time, got loads of stuff on the house to do and that takes priority at the mo... and I kinda need the cash after the wedding and honeymoon  :'(

Couple of years ago I'd have had those alloys off you but at the moment I'm currently struggling to not torch the 185!
