Server has been down since Tuesday / Wednesday and Rob is in the process of moving and so is off work and without net access therefore unable to access the server to sort

Mega pain in the 'arris but these things happen.

Maybe this is the nudge that the EC needs to get it a bit busier...fingers crossed the layout/usability of this new site is way better than the OC forum, it just lacks input....and it has a spell checker for idiots like me who cant spell ;D

Not the right thread for a comment on Nials comment! BUT the profile does have toooo many options for us noogarts and the isi/chrisW comments are FAR TOO SIMILAR for a married couple! You are meant to DISSAGREE on most things??? XX

for the short period that this club has been going it's growing all the time,  and people are now taking the club serious  .the new layout is excellent and the features are brilliant .
(deff forward thinking and PROGRESS , good to see)

The only problem i have here, and theres no way of really helping this and its noones fault before i get jumped on!  Is that the member demographic is heavily northern, allthough this was my assessment last year, and it may have changed a bit since then.

I hear what your saying.
The Southern member base is low on numbers I'm afraid :(
BUT...the more people like yourself that join up the more 'other' Southerners may feel and do the same.
It is unfortunate really but it is all down to personal choice I guess.

It's answered my prayers in a way.  I stopped posting on here after a while, because there was never much input, but I find this forum to be the more friendly of the two, and better for day to day banter, without the risk of offending everyone.

We dont want to talk techie all the time, thats what the DC is for ;D

Well i hope it continues.. i think the biggest problem we suffered from was unfriendly forum software that put people off posting.

Well there certainly dosnt seem to be a hurry to fix the OC...people have been complaining of the site being slow for ages, surley that could have set alarm bells ringing and triggered the repair/fixing of the site.

I think the biggest problem for me with the 3 clubs/forums is that mostly it's the same people and the same posts just repeated so it gets a bit tedious going through all 3. I'll try and keep more of an eye on here in the future though.

the news on the OC as I understand it is that Rob has found the power supply for the server to have "gone", the replacement didnt arrive today as was promised so tomorrow is likely to be the earliest it will be back on line

I hope the update is OK with the admin here.

By the way I am a browser of the DC, staff on the OC and member (paying as and when required) of the EC. I am a drinker with all three :-* roll on JAE  ;)

I hope all is sorted soon for the OC and its members but on the same vein I hope all those who have visited us over the last week or so return a little more often than previously 8)

Maybe the psu has been failing for a while dropping the voltage and causing slow running on the OC  ;D (Joke)

I must say though (what what) this site does run pretty damn fast and smooth so far, good job done to all involved.

Its even just told me somebody has just posted since I last looked and I should read it before clicking "post".

Bugger that, I'll have to write all this again :lol:
