On many modern cars the oil vapours from the top of the engine are fed back into the intake to be burnt off by the engine, this is a result of car manufacturers trying to keep pollution down and making the company and cars look green.

Unfortunately this isn't a good thing for our performance cars or for tuning.

The oil vapours in the top of the engine are fed back into your nice clean intake system, i.e. air filter hoses, turbo itself, intercooler hoses, and intercooler/charge cooler.

This means that A: hot gases are being put back into your engine resulting in a loss of power due to intake temperatures being higher than they need to be.
and B: oil vapours are going back through your engine coating everything it passes through in thick black oil residue, this means your intake hoses get covered in oil your turbo gets coated in oil and worse still your intercooler/charge cooler internals get clogged up with oil residue build-up lowering the efficiency of the system and thus lowering engine power output.

Our Ventilation kit blocks off the return section of the intake system, and our JSP performance breather filter bolts onto the engine to allow the vapours to vent to the atmosphere and still allow the engine to ventilation system to breathe.

This will mean your intake temperatures will lower as there are no hot gases from the engine being put back into the intake, your turbo, intercooler etc will be cleaner and free from oil build-up and on higher performance engines this will also reduce the risk of pre-ignition (DET) due to the reduced temps and contaminants entering the engine.
