« on: August 25, 2009, 09:58:10 pm »
It looks like my celica GT4 is going tomorrow so i have a few bits to sell.

Decat from turbo to downpipe. Brand new, polished and never ever used. comes with all the new gaskets as well.  £80 This is what i paid for it of the net.

manual boost controller. only used for 2 weeks. top quality as ordered from GTSchris (mr2 specialist) immaculate, will show how to set up  £20

Single DIN with temp, voltage meter dials in led's with two blue VU meters. again 2 weeks old £20

slimline fan for top intercooler, only 6cm high. reduces intake temp dramaticcally. ready to go on. never used £35

yes i know!
now dont get me wrong...love the car, i really do. but this was a money exercise seeing how far i can go on £10 and i got to the GT4.
I am swapping tomorrow for an immaculate escort xr3 (carb version) on a 1982 plate. according to dvla only 70 on the road now so its rare, looking through pistonheads etc as the car has only 55,000 miles with history it should go for £2k-£3K so after that i will be buying something else.

BUT

i have said to the owner give me first dibs on the sale as i want it back!

ferrari here we come!

started with £230 cash, bought a mk2 mr2 with it and put it through mot costing £30.  it passed after i adjusted handbrake.

swapped it 3 weeks later for peugeot 306 convertible.   2 weeks later swapped it for T reg ford cougar PLUS £250 cash.

4 weeks later swapped the cougar for the ST185. Now im swapping for the XR3

so i have a £2.5k car for £10.   bargain!  once i have sold this i am going to start importing cars from japan. my mate already has a huge firm that does this, and he said hes fine giving stuff to me at cost as long as i dont sell the same stuff as him.
so first car i have spotted on the auction site is a skyline GT-r R32.  going for £2.3k on the road. should sell for £4k and then the worlds my oyster!

is that after tax and everything else that gets added omn???

fairplay for having a go, you really can make money and go up in cars all the time if your clever enough.

i paid 1700 for my mg zs 180 saloon when they were going for 2500, i then swapped for a vectra c sri worth 3000, i then sold that cheap to my dad for work for 2200 because im generous i could of made quite a bit at this stage and bought 2 cars but i wasnt bright enough i spent the rest and then i then bought a saxo vts that had 5500 of recipts of engine work i paid 1350 and i spent more money modding it again pure bargain

then i swapped 150 and vts for my st205 gt4 that wants a little tlc and if itd needed 2k spending to get it immaculate itd of been worth it but im only on 730 spent so far and at worst i might need 500 to buy fig 8 and lower arm both sides.

If its £2.3k on an auction its going to cost you that again to import it !!! I have two friends you use to import cars from Japan and basically they stopped doing it because there is no money in it any more. The market is flooded with low price Japanese cars at the moment. Why import a car when you can buy the same car in this country without the import costs.
