yeah i disagree lol red rocks lad, what is it with the army guys having such good cars, i was at an event organised a few years back by th police service of northern ireland in ballykelly army base in derry, the place was full of evo's and stuff like that, being in the service must pay pretty well

I should have been clearer i dont think red suits the 205 but the 165/185 look good in red especially the CS/RC as it aint as dark.
Just looked at your location on the map-i was based at Ebbrington barracks from may 01 to may 03 and used to drive my armoured wagon through the gobnascale more or less every day.
Fun having bricks thrown at ya ;D

Hi There.

Welcome to the club  ;)

deffo got yourself some nice bits building up there, should make a nice four when you've got everything fitted.

I see you've bought JP's old 185. it'll be nice to see to see old girl back on the road, he had that 185 before i got mine....back in 2003  :o

Yer we needed a car and Erin(the wife) took a shine to it when she saw the pics online-so went for a look and she wanted it so at £900 its a good buy.
Needs m.o.t 2x tyres, fuel line sorting and tracking done but shouldnt take much to sort out.

deffo got yourself a bargain there  ;)  JP had already done a load of work to it before deciding to sell up.

I thought about buying it but it's a widebody and i want another narrowbody  :(

Yer its a bargain-no longer has CS bumper but i like em so will get another eventually.
The wife just wants tints, alloys and new seats as she like the recaros in my faff.

When we can afford it i may buy some Teins, whiteline arb and maybe a CS bonnet if i stick a FMIC on it.

But the faff is the main project.

Aye got to mod it ;D
When i had my gen7 i spent over £20'000 on that and was considering going FI but then the ex got involved in ownership issues so stripped to a bare shell(had no interior only shell and bare engine) sold all the kit that i couldnt put on/in a st205 and sent her keys back said debt was hers as it was in her name and gave shell and engine away.
Women eh-they are so evil she tried to get the army make me pay loans she took out after we split and cos she was a idiot and couldnt pay em she tried to fob em off onto me-anyway it backfired bigtime :)

welcome back, just re read over the whole thread there and seen the gobnascale thing lol, i'm just living out past there atm but i head out to newbuildings to avoid all the speed bumps but the night i did go through there in the orange puma back last winter i got a snowball off the car, that wee lad paid for that dear mistake when i caught up with him. Where you situated now, all those houses at ebbrington are now private owned and they went for a clean fortune.

Just a couple of comments, I served 10 years with 42 Commando Royal marines, got to tour the world, went to all the best places, Iraq, afghanastan, bosnia, kosovo etc etc etc, I went through some severe times and did what had to be done, but thankfully I never served in Norn Iron.  then again, being from Keady County Armagh, Iv also seen my fair share of action at home.

With regards to a 32 county republic, and not agreeing with englanders and their policies, shouldnt that be kept for another time in another place and not on the forum?  Im northern irish, I have my own views, but this is car enthusiasts forum and a damn good one so can we stick to cars?

Good luck with the 185, dont fall for the hype about the 205, its a faff for a faffing reason!!  Stick with the 185 and she will put a smile on your face.  Oh, and who is it that lives in bandit territory but owns an ORANGE faff??  he he he!!

He asked, I replied.  I thought that was the end of it.
Until now, apparently.

And drivebys question was a sort of inside joke, we are fans of Stiff Little Fingers.

And now you are trying to make it all political.
