Anybody know about transits?

My 97 tranny van stalled the other day as I went to pull away in 1st, hasnt started since, anydody know anything about these?
Gaffer tape is like "the force" - it has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

There's nothing that shouts "Poor Workmanship"  more than wrinkles in the gaffer tape.....

Its a 2.5di, we have ruled out the fuel pump and injectors, its getting gallons of fuel through.  I have pinned the crank and the pump, no timing issues, cambelt has not snapped.  I have changed the fuel filter, checked the connections and all seems fine.  Im thinking of changing the lift pump, bleeding it all then dragging its arse the street until its either starts or falls apart.  >:( >:(
