where the hell are you's getting 50k from....... its going to be no where near that and you's know it, subaru, mitsubishi and any other 4wd cars in the same league don't come near that price and a faff wrc back in the day was 32k not 38k. It'll be reasonably priced to compete with the evo's and the like. Also Toyota will want to get the name back for themselves as a performance car manufacturer after being away for so long. The most expensive evo was the evo 8 fq400 at 47k and that was the 405bhp flagship car. And the new Evo 10 fq400 is expected to be 45k. So toyota will have to price accordingly.

Sssssshhhhhhhh!!! Don't feed the trolls.

first pics i've seen and could look alot worse tbh. no doubt the actual final product will look nothing like that.

tis the first i've heard of it being 4wd too, all i've read so far says it's going to be mid engined, rear drive and boxer powered. but then gaian i dont read much lol

be around the 30-35K bracket i reckon...and for the record i still couldn't afford one..lol

Fair point 50K is a little excessive! I was merely throwing figures around, but my point still stands! I think you'll find most buyers of GT4s do so because they are currently very "affordable" performance cars and can be tweaked to more, not because they have the cash for a 35-45k car but just dont want one.

Not sure why you're so defensive over this point, but never mind!

I like the look of it but as paul says i wouldnt think that it would be a run awa success when the likes of the more powerful imprezas and evos arent selling brilliantly due to the credit crunch and the price of road tax etc...

I worked for Toyota from 92-99 and when the ST205 was launched it was just under £30K.
This was when the Escort Cossie was £26K and a Impreza was £20K.
Cos of the big premium over its rivals the GT4 was never a big seller-i dont expect Toyota to make the same mistake this time against such well established and respected competition.

If I had the money lying about, possibly.Think I would like to see a few more of the spec details 1st ;)

GT4 price was about 30k as Paul mentioned so I would think it would be in the £25-30K price bracket :)

It looks ok, but looks wise it's just an Auris on steroids. I'll be keeping me Faff I think (The fact that most new cars are out of my budget is, of course, irrelevant  ;))

I'd be tempted to buy one if i could afford it because of what it is and it would have to be awesome for toyota to compete, but i dont like the look of it.
